During the referral process, the professional staff of Creating Ethical Boundaries will determine the appropriate program package for each licensee based on an internal metric. Determination is performed on a case by case basis by interview in order to recommend the most appropriate, effective and beneficial directive to each licensee. The CEB Program provides three distinct packages for compliance relative to the type of violation as outlined below.
No direct client contact.
Bookkeeping, financial inconsistencies, record issues, completion of clinical records, appropriate forms used, self-promotions issues.
Direct or indirect client contact.
Non sexual violation involving client.
Boundary violations, confidentiality breaches, social media problems.
Fee decision based on the seriousness of the offense, how the client was impacted, the level of responsibility currently demonstrated, and prior issues.
Direct or indirect client contact.
Sexual boundary violation or other serious offense involving client.
The following information is provided as a guideline to inform the referring board, program participants, and/or licensee of the projected stages of the CEB Program Timeline.
The program is designed to be completed within a one year period of time - 365 days or less - with a ten day grace period and an opportunity to purchase program extensions as needed in 90 day increments for an additional fee. Additionally, the program fees associated with the various program levels are based upon the time and performance and varies by program. Should the participant require additional time and performance that exceeds our maximum allocations, a surcharge may apply accordingly in order to extend the life of the initial program and its components.
The projected timeline to implement, register and be accepted into the program is 7-10 days. It is broken down as follows:
Licensee Intake Process – approximately 3 business days when the following forms are completed:
- Intake Referral Form
- Ethics Assessment Form
Note - CEB's response time to a referral board on any initial communication regarding the referral is within 3 days or less.
CEB Assessment Process – approximately 3 business days to process with the interview and recommendations. The initial interview is conducted via telephone lasting approximately 60 minutes in duration and is scheduled within 3 business days of the initial intake. Following the interview, the CEB Consultant communicates to the Licensee/Participant the recommended program level A, B or C.
This completes the initial 7-10 day timeline. After the recommendations are made the next steps include registration and program implementation. The one year program timeline begins upon program recommendation.
Registration and payment is requested within 5 days of the program recommendation.
Licensee/Participant accepts the CEB disclaimer and makes remaining payment in full, less their initial deposit applied to their balance due.
Should the Licensee/Participant decline the program recommendations, their deposit will be refunded less a service assessment charge and application fee totaling $250.00.
Once payment is received, access to materials online delivered via email within 48 hours and Licensee/Participant begins the program.
Within two weeks of receiving access to the materials the Licensee/Participant would schedule their first consulting appointment.
The duration of the first consulting appointment is 30 minutes. During the first consulting appointment, a communication plan would be outlined as far as frequency and duration (length) of future appointments.
CEB's response to paper submission – 5 business days or less
There is a maximum inclusion of three paper submissions allotted in Programs A & B, and a maximum of five paper submissions allotted in Program C. Additional paper submissions over the maximum allotment are subject to a surcharge of up to $250.00 per submission thereafter.
